AUDREY RUTH PEPIN (nee GISTI) Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, friend and dedicated volunteer was tragically and unexpectedly taken away from us, along with her sister-in-law Marlene Gisti, February 26, 2005 at the age of 66 years. Audrey was born August 12, 1938 at Inwood, MB. She was the youngest daughter of Alf and Jean Gisti. Audrey married her husband Ray on August 10, 1957. They made their home in Winnipeg until relocating to Calgary in 1976. Once settling in Calgary, Audrey and Ray raised their two children, Doug and Brenda. Audrey was a dedicated mother who spent countless hours joyfully watching her children participate in their many extracurricular activities. In her later years, Audrey kept busy as a volunteer at the Rockyview Hospital and Lutheran Church of the Cross, as official seamstress and knitter to many and dear friend to all. Her continuous dedication to family and friends remained her true passion. Audrey was predeceased by her parents and her husband Ray. Left to remember her life are her son Doug and wife Susan and their children, Sarah and Ashley all of Calgary; along with her daughter, Brenda and husband Rob Carroll of Yellowknife. Audrey is also survived by her sisters, June (Bill) McKague, Margaret (Paul) Veldkamp, and her brother Martin Gisti. She also leaves behind a large and loving extended family. Audrey's giving nature, warm smile, adventurous spirit and constant friendship will be missed by all. A funeral service for Audrey will be held, together with Marlene Gisti, at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 3 at St. Chad's Anglican Church, 3390 Portage Ave. A memorial service will also be held in Calgary at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 5 at Lutheran Church of the Cross, 10620 Elbow Dr. S.W., Calgary, AB. In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be made to Lutheran Church of the Cross. Email: Dianne@churchofthecross.ca NEIL BARDAL INC. 949-2200

Condolences & Memories (2 entries)

  • So sorry to hear about the tragic accident. I am an old friend who went to schol in Inwood. - Posted by: Grace DeBiasio (nee Fox) (Friend) on: Mar 13, 2005

  • As I walk through my home I am reminded of Aunty Audrey. Her quilts are a loving gift from her that remains with us. In our living room the quilt she made for Grandma Gisti is on our sofa, in our baby girl's Megan 's room her beautiful quilt hangs on the wall for everyone to enjoy. Today my son Kyle took his quilt with him to daycare to keep him warm and cozy. Aunty Audrey's memory will remain as her quilts surround us just like her hugs used to. - Posted by: Susan Bater (Family) on: Mar 02, 2005
